5 Quotes after Brno GP

Brno MotoGP: Top 5 quotes after race
First-class Crutchlow and LCR Honda secure first ever GP victory

1 35 Cal Crutchlow Honda 25 47'44.290
“This win means a lot to me. I thought the feeling might be different, but after having become a Dad two weeks ago, nothing matches that. Don’t get me wrong though, I haven’t won a race for many years, maybe six or seven, so it’s been a long time and it’s something really, really special. I’m pleased to be the British rider that’s broken the run, especially after some of the stick I’ve had. I’m also so pleased for my LCR Honda Team, because I wrecked a bike during practice yesterday and they were working until midnight to get it ready for me today. So to repay them with this win is great – they never give up. Victory has been a long time coming and I was emotional on the cool-down lap. I was playing with them in the end though, I knew I had made the right tyre choice on the grid and pushed when I needed to push. I’m ecstatic.”

2 46 Valentino Rossi Yamaha 20 +7.298
“At the beginning I was desperate because I thought we made a mistake, but lap by lap the hard rear became better and it was a very long race, you have to stay concentrated not to make a mistake. I started from p12, so it was a great race and I‘m happy with these 20 points, also because I‘m second in the championship and I think today we did a good job and we made the right choice.”

3 93 Marc Marquez Honda 16 +9.587
“I’m happy with the end result because the most important thing is that today I extended my advantage over second in the overall standings, as I only dropped four points to Valentino [Rossi] while Jorge [Lorenzo] didn’t score points. We proved that we’re competitive both in dry and wet conditions. This year we’re working like ants, making gradual, steady improvements and having a very complete season without changing our mindset. I made a mistake with the tyres choice, but it’s easier to judge things in hindsight. Perhaps the best choice was the hard compound on both the front and rear, but I was expecting a flag-to-flag race since the track normally dries quickly, which wasn’t the case today. When I saw that there was less than 10 laps to go and the track was still wet, I started to manage my tyre wear. I saw that [Cal] Crutchlow and Rossi had a faster pace, so I concentrated on my other rivals and I can say I won the battle with them.”

4 76 Loris Baz Ducati 13 +12.558
“We rode a great race and we took the right decision with the tyre choice. As I’m heavier than the rest of the riders, I always have to use harder compounds, and before the race we decided for the hard rear wet tyre, which was perfect. You never know if you took the right decision because you never know if the rain comes back. But we recovered from the rear step by step and with some more laps, we could haven even gone further. I think we needed more experience with this tyre, the bike was a little bit hard and it was difficult to overtake the other riders. But I’m extremely happy and this is the best way to thank the team for the new contract for next year. I was also looking forward to get a good result to dedicate to Luis Salom, and finally we did it.”

5 8 Hector Barbera Ducati 11 +13.093
“I’m happy because we did a good race. After 12 laps, I had a technical problem and I had limited performance from the bike during the last ten laps. I tried to do the maximum to stay at the front, I saved the tyres, I was riding really smoothly, but I finished the race with some difficulties. Anyway, I’m happy, because every race we get closer, and sooner or later, we’ll get the result we deserve. I want to say a big thank you to the team, because they made this possible. Big congratulations to Loris, I’m really happy for him, because he’s a good rider and an even better person, and he needed this result. To be honest, the season started to turn really difficult for him. I always support him, I encourage him, but when you get inside a hole, the best way to get out is like he did, with a good result.”

Lorenzo Confused at Brno GP

Lorenzo explains mystery of Brno pitstop confusion
Jorge Lorenzo has revealed the reasons for his nightmare Czech Grand Prix outing, as well as the problems he suffered in the pits as his crew appeared to object to his decision to switch bikes.

The Spaniard had been running 10th place and making up ground when he pitted at the end of the 14th lap in Brno, swapping to his slick tyre-shod second bike against the recommendation of his crew, who seemed baffled that Lorenzo had chosen to come in.

Lorenzo was back in the pits a lap later, with conditions still too wet for dry tyres, to change back to his first bike, albeit with a new front tyre.

The result of the double bike change was that the reigning champion finished out of the points in lowly 17th, in the process losing second place in the championship to Yamaha teammate Valentino Rossi, who was second.

Speaking to media after the race, Lorenzo said his crew chief Ramon Forcada couldn't see that a large piece of tread was missing from the front tyre of his first bike, hence the confusion in the pits.

"My team did not know what was going on," the Spaniard recalled. "Firstly they didn’t understand, because when I stopped the bike, the [part] where the tyre was bad was [face down] on the tarmac.

"So the front tyre looked perfect. It was only when they moved the bike they understood the tyre was missing a piece. So probably that’s why Ramon didn’t understand why I wanted to change the bike.

"I changed to slicks, but it was really wet and it was dangerous, I just wanted to change again the bike because it was not worth it to keep riding."

'Michelin can't let this happen again'

Elaborating on the problem with the front tyre, Lorenzo believed a manufacturing defect affected him as well as several others, including works Ducati riders Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone.

Asked if he wished he had opted for the hard option front tyre, Lorenzo said: "I just wish we didn’t have the problem. The front tyre was at the limit for this construction.

"Some riders have this problem, some others not, but with some more laps most of the same riders would have had problems.

"There are small differences [between tyres], they are not all the same. This shouldn’t happen, and this is an experience Michelin has to take [on board] so this doesn’t happen again.

"If conditions are similar next time, this can happen again at another track, and this shouldn’t happen.

"There can be degradation, especially on the sides [of the tyre], but when pieces go out of the tyre, this shouldn’t happen."

Possible podium lost

Lorenzo said he thought that, without this initial tyre problem, he could have finished at least third, or perhaps challenge teammate Valentino Rossi, who went for the same tyre choice of a soft front and hard rear.

"Very bad luck, because with this tyre we didn’t finish the race – like Dovizioso, Iannone – when I was the fastest one at this moment, along with Cal and Rossi," added the reigning champion.

"I felt I could have been even faster, to finish surely third or even second. But we didn’t finish the race."

Marquez's Mistake at Brno GP

Marquez expected bike swap at Brno, using soft tyres “my mistake”
MotoGP points leader Marc Marquez was expecting a flag-to-flag race at Brno in the Czech Grand Prix, which is why he started with the soft tyres and didn’t gamble on the longer-lasting hards.

His Honda stablemate Cal Crutchlow won the race using the hard tyres front and rear, despite starting down in 10th.

However, Marquez was the first soft-rear user home in third place, and extended his points lead to 53, with Valentino Rossi now second ahead of Yamaha teammate Jorge Lorenzo, who trailed home outside the points after another dismal wet-weather showing.

“Honestly, I expect it to dry up earlier,” said Marquez. “For that reason I chose soft-soft, which meant in the last laps I was struggling more. That was my mistake.

“I expected a flag-to-flag race, so I was pushing a lot in the beginning to try to change the tyres to slicks, but the track was too wet. Then, I tried to manage.

“I knew Cal had hard-hard, Valentino with the hard rear, they overtake me when I was struggling a lot. The maximum for the championship was 16 points, and I’m very happy because we extend a lot over Jorge and lose only four to Valentino.”

"I knew the hard would be faster"

When asked about his tyre choice, Marquez believed taking the softs was the safer option as he protects his points advantage.

“Honestly it’s hard,” he admitted. “Today, I [thought about] taking a risk to go with hard, but I preferred to have the movement and warming of the soft, but I knew the hard would be faster but then you can lose the front really quick.

Rossi up to 2nd at Clasemen after Brno GP

http://photos.motogp.com/2016/05/08/
Valentino Rossi says his main target for the remainder of the MotoGP season is to beat Jorge Lorenzo to the runner-up spot in the standings, after conceding Marc Marquez is out of reach.

Having finished second behind Cal Crutchlow in last weekend’s rain-affected Czech Grand Prix at Brno, Rossi finds himself 53 points in arrears of points leader Marquez, who completed the podium,

However, the Italian is now Marquez’s closest challenger after Lorenzo suffered another disastrous outing in mixed conditions, with tyre problems and two pitstops relegating him to 17th place.

Having now cleared Lorenzo in the battle to be the best of the Yamahas in the points, Rossi says his main goal will be to stay in front his teammate rather than try to close down Marquez.

Asked if he still considered himself in with a chance of winning the title outright, Rossi said: “No, because [I made] too many mistakes, a little bit of bad luck. I am too far.

“Also Marquez this year, he’s not only fast in all conditions but he always makes the right choice. So it’s very difficult to recover 53 points.”

He added: “I’m very happy when I arrive on the podium, and when I have a lot of points at the end of the season. I always race like this, I don’t want to [risk] everything for one race.

“The fight with Lorenzo for second place is very open, and it was very important to gain these points and stay in front.

“But at the same time Lorenzo is very strong, so I think it’s important to fight with him until the end, even if it’s just for second place.”

Lorenzo not thinking about points

http://photos.motogp.com/2016/04/21/
When informed of Rossi’s comments, Lorenzo said beating the Italian in their final season together as teammates – before his switch to Ducati in 2017 – was of little importance to him.

“I don’t think about the championship, I just think about riding at my best, and get the best result I can,” said the Spaniard.

“Then after the race we see the standings, and how we are. [I only think] about winning as much as possible.

Elaborating on what is now a 59-point deficit to Marquez, Lorenzo added: “We’ve had half bad luck, half bad feeling and performances in the rain. Valentino was also unlucky to break the engine at Mugello.

“This makes Marc much more in front in the points. He’s doing a really constant and regular championship with the bike he has.”

Rossi Did Amazing Race

http://cdn-2.motorsport.com/images/mgl/2yD9bVm0/s9/
At Brno,Rossi have a qualification at the fifth place. At Moto2,wet race. This is “clop” with the prediction that the race is wet race. Suddenly, the rain stop. And the problem is,after rain, circuit more dangerous and the rider have to smart to choose the best setting.

And Rossi is smart rider. He know what he should to do,he choose what the best for him. At the beginning he at 14th place,I don’t know why and it made me so scared if I can’t Rossi on top3. But,even 5 laps to go,Rossi did amazing race and make us so proud of him. He run away and overtake other rider to top3. From 14th place to 2nd place is so amazing for me,he did it. He control his bike,he know what he should to do and good strategy.

Congrlatulation Valentino Rossi. You are smart rider ever.

Winner Crutchlow continues good work

Having taken a brilliant first ever MotoGP win in the Czech Republic on Sunday, British rider Cal Crutchlow and his LCR Honda Team were in action again on Monday for a day of testing at the Brno track.

Indeed, Crutchlow was the first rider to take to the track once the pit-lane opened at 10am, although the session was initially red-flagged when he discovered diesel had been spilt at turn 11. Once the area had been cleaned the Grand Prix winner was back putting in laps until an extended finish time of 6.30pm.

The Briton eventually completed 63 laps, fulfilling vital testing work for both Michelin and Honda, and stopping the clock with a best time of 1’56.273s, leaving him fourth on the timesheets.

Cal Crutchlow: “We’ve had a positive test today and we were quite pleased with the lap times. We tested a couple of front tyres for Michelin and a few small items for Honda. We had to work late because the track wasn’t in an ideal condition this morning, but thanks to the team we worked hard all day and hopefully it’ll bring us some positives for Silverstone.”

Crutchlow the Winner at Brno

http://coventryobserver.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/
It was a bit of a crazy day on Sunday at the Automotodrom Brno. Despite the absence of Lederhosen after the paddock left Austria, it was nevertheless still leathering it down. Rain all day? Check. The deck shuffled? Definitely check. And to top off all the drama of the day, it was Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda) who came through from fifteenth to cross the line for his first win – becoming the first British winner since Barry Sheene in 1981!

Twitter definitely had a few things to say about that – beginning with Jack Miller (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS), who didn’t line up on the grid after a crash in Austria and watched the race as a fan. Don’t bother asking Jack for lottery numbers though, we already did.

Get Well Soon Miller

Jack Miller absen on Austrian GP and couldn’t join the race because his condition not well to race and fight.
http://photos.motogp.com/2016/08/14/

After the summer break, Jack Miller (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) was finally back to full fitness after a motocross accident in pre-season had left the Aussie facing a long road to full recovery -although that didn’t stop the Queenslander taking a spectacular wet weather win in the Dutch GP.

The Red Bull Ring is a venue that Miller had experience of in the IDM on much lighter machinery, and the stage was set for a good second half of the season – until a highside crash saw the Australian suffer a hairline fracture of the T6 vetebrae and a hairline fracture in the radius bone of his right wrist, ruling him out. Miller will now undergo an MRI scan and then a medical check to determine his fitness for the next race in Brno.

"This is not the way I wanted to start the second half of the season but that's the way it is. It's a shame it didn't work out for me today but I'll keep giving it 100% and now I'm hoping to be fit to race in Brno next week, as I really like that track.  I banged my foot and that's a bit sore, as is my wrist and vertebrae with the small fractures but hopefully I can heal quickly” Said Miller

Andrea Iannone won the Austrian GP Race at Redbull Circuit

http://media.crash.net/original/
Andrea Iannone won the race after overtake Dovizioso, his friend from Ducati too. At the race,Iannone fight with Dovizioso,Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.

“I think the first victory for me in the MotoGP class is very important because in the past I won many races in Moto2, but in the MotoGP class it is another story because you fight with the best riders ever, with Vale, Jorge Dovi – with many world champion riders and this is very incredible for me,” said Iannone.

Ducati very very fast at the track so far away from Yamaha and Honda. This track very “Klop” with Ducati. Because Ducati have the acceleration at the straight, the acceleration very super and give us amazing performance.

Iannone made a last-minute decision to switch to the medium rear tyre in contrast to his key rivals, who used the harder option. It was a gamble that paid off and Iannone said the strategy worked to perfection.

'’It's a very beautiful moment, it's a magical moment for me, but also for Ducati to come back with a victory after six years' - Andrea Iannone.

Iannone will end a four-year career at Ducati and join Suzuki for 2017. Dovizioso was chosen to remain alongside new signing Lorenzo, who completed Sunday's podium with third place for Yamaha (+3.389s).

Fanaticsm

http://cdn0-a.production.liputan6.static6.com/medias/1041810/big/
Many people knows me as MotoGP lovers or Journalist MotoGP. Yap it’s true but not just it. I am Valentino Rossi fan. I like him when I was 8 years old,at the time,my father very very like him. He always watched MotoGP on the weekend and always support him, whatever what Rossi do,my father always like him.

I always write on my twitter all about MotoGP,I always update information about the race or behind the race. So,many mention for me to reply “What I think about…”
I also never out of the negative comments. Somepeople who (claim to)  rider’s fanatic fan always mock me on twitter when I talked about Valentino Rossi. But,Alhamdulillah many MotoGP lovers give me positive comments.

(All) who like MotoGP have a favorite rider. Not just a favorite but Fanatic fan. Fanaticism makes a person difficult to see something from objective point. Worse, another people always wrong. Just her/his favorite rider always true. Sometimes, there once people make one bad opinion about they favorite rider, they are so angry and hate that people.

Speaking badly about other riders will not make your favorite rider won the world championship & certainly will not make you a better person.

You can show your support to your favorite rider  yet still show some respect towards other riders. Put aside all the negativity & enjoy the race.

Rossi : I like what I do, I like my job

“The motivation is very important, especially if you race as long as I have,” noted Rossi. And yet his reason is amazingly simple. “But in this aspect I have no problems because my biggest motivation is the pleasure that gives me to ride a bike, try to be every time stronger, to improve the bike, to work with the team…I like what I do, I like my job.” Said Valentino Rossi
http://photos.motogp.com/2016/04/23/

Many were expecting Rossi to retire after his Ducati contract was finished, but the Italian re-signed with Yamaha for two years in 2013, and he renewed the contract for another two in the midst of last season. “I have a contract signed with Yamaha for this season and the next, so surely I will keep the next two years trying to stay at the top. After, I don’t know, I haven’t decided yet.”

And what about his expectations for the future? When we asked if he could achieve his 10th title before retirement, he answered, “The year of my 10th championship? Good question, it would be great to know (when)? The goal is to certainly to try. I think there are chances because I am arriving from two years in which I have been always growing, especially between 2013 and 2014, and at the end of last season I was always competitive. I got a lot of points, I got many times on the podium, but to win the championship is very complicated, is much more difficult”

Rossi also had high praise for his crew chief Silvano Galbusera, who was controversially brought in by Rossi to replace his long-time crew chief Jeremy Burgess at the conclusion of 2013 season. “Galbusera did it very well last year in his first MotoGP season. With this one year experience, I think he may improve related with me as well as with the bike”.

“Yamaha’s way of working is always similar. I know Yamaha since many years and I have learned to trust them because they try to improve all the areas of the bikes step by step through a very logical and intelligent work without stressing the basic project. At the end of the season the M1 was quite fast on acceleration exiting the corners and on the straights, a very positive aspects for Yamaha. I want to keep this for this season. We need to improve a little bit on braking, entering into the corners; we are trying.

Happy Birthday "The Maniac"

Happy Birthday Andrea Iannone, rider Ducati from Italy. Always have a superday, see you at AustrianGP

Marc Marquez

Marc Márquez Alentà was born on 17 February 1993. He is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and two-time MotoGP world champion. He is one of four riders to have won world championship titles in three different categories, after Mike Hailwood, Phil Read and Valentino Rossi.

Márquez won the 2010 125cc World Championship, the 2012 Moto2 World Championship, and the 2013 and 2014MotoGP World Championships. Márquez became the first rider since Kenny Roberts in 1978 to accomplish the premier class title in his first season, and the youngest to win the title overall. He defended his title, winning the 2014 championship with three rounds to spare. During that title run Márquez won ten races in a row. He is the older brother of 2014 Moto3 world champion Álex Márquez.

Valentino Rossi

Valentino Rossi was born 16 February 1979. He is an Italian professional motorcycle racer and multiple MotoGP World Champion. He is considered to be the greatest and one of the most successful motorcycle racers of all time, with nine Grand Prix World Championships to his name – seven of which are in the premier class.
Following his father, Graziano Rossi, Valentino started racing in Grand Prix in 1996 for Aprilia in the 125cc category and won his first World Championship the following year. From there, he moved up to the 250cc category with Aprilia and won the 250cc World Championship in 1999. After graduating to the premier class in 2000, he won the 500cc World Championship with Hondain 2001, the MotoGP World Championships (also with Honda) in 2002 and 2003, and continued his streak of back-to-back championships by winning the 2004 and 2005 titles after leaving Honda to join Yamaha, before regaining the title in 2008 and retaining it in 2009. He left Yamaha to join Ducati for the 2011 season, but it was confirmed in 2012 that he would rejoin Yamaha for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. He suffered two winless seasons while at Ducati.
